Agapanthus praecox, African Lily
A clump-forming, evergreen perennial with strap-shaped, dark green leaves.
This variety produces large umbels of trumpet-shaped, blue flowers atop tall stems. It blooms from midsummer to early autumn.
Since this is a frost tender plant, it needs to be overwintered in a frost-free place. So here in northern Europe it needs to be container grown.
Native to South Africa.
Height: 1 metre.
