Cold-hardy annual herb with fleshy, spade-shaped leaves and small white flowers that grow from a pair of united leaves.
Leaves and flowers are edible and are used raw in salads. They can be harvested all year round, if seeds are sown continuously from spring to late autumn.
Native to western North America.
