Helichrysum italicum, Curry Plant


A bushy sub-shrub with linear, silvery-grey leaves that have a wonderful curry-like fragrance.
Clusters of everlasting yellow flower heads are produced from midsummer.
The aromatic leaves are used to flavour rice, fish and chicken dishes. They are best removed before serving.
Prefers a sunny, sheltered position on a well-drained soil.
Native to the Mediterranean area.
