Ancient annual herb with finely divided leaves and pale blue flowers. The flowers are followed by inflated capsules that contain numerous black seeds. These aromatic and flavourful seeds are used as a spice in Indian and Middle Eastern cooking.
Black cumin seeds were found in Pharaoh Tutankhamun's tomb.
Native to southwestern Asia.
Height: 50 cm.
