Stevia rebaudiana


Tender perennial herb with sweet tasting leaves that can be used as a healthy sugar substitute to sweeten teas, cakes, drinks, desserts etc. The leaves have 3045 times the sweetness of table sugar.
Here in northern Europe Stevia is best grown in a pot on a windowsill, but it can also be container-grown in a sunny spot outside.
Native to South America.
